Buying galvanized steel coil in full widths is only efficient if you can process it. Slitting cuts master coils into narrow strips, typically 20–1250 mm, with burr limits and edge condition agreed in advance. Cut-to-length lines uncoil, level, and shear sheet to your length, removing handling waste and freight on unused material. Both services must protect the zinc coating: tension control prevents scratching, clean tooling avoids edge damage. Specify width, length tolerance, burr height, and packaging.
