15CrMo is a heat-resistant steel material, also known as pearlitic structure heat-resistant steel.
Features of 15CrMo steel plate:
Heat resistance: 15CrMo has high thermal strength and oxidation resistance at high temperatures, which is mainly due to the chromium (Cr) and molybdenum (Mo) elements in its chemical composition. These elements improve the high temperature resistance and corrosion resistance of steel.
Mechanical properties: Under normal circumstances, the yield strength of 15CrMo is ≥295MPa, the tensile strength is 440-640 mpa, the elongation is ≥24%, and the hardness is between 220-280HB. This allows 15CrMo to maintain stable mechanical properties under high temperature and pressure environments.
Machinability: 15CrMo has good machinability and is easy to manufacture and install.
15CrMo is a low alloy steel, its chemical composition mainly includes:
Carbon (C) : 0.12-0.18%
Silicon (Si) : 0.17-0.37%
Manganese (Mn) : 0.40-0.70%
Phosphorus (P) : <0.035%
Sulfur (S) : <0.035%
Chromium (Cr) : 0.80-1.10%
Molybdenum (Mo) : 0.15-0.25%
Among them, chromium (Cr) and molybdenum (Mo) are the main alloying elements of 15CrMo, which can improve its strength and corrosion resistance. In addition, 15CrMo also contains trace elements such as copper (Cu), nickel (Ni) and vanadium (V), which can improve its mechanical properties and corrosion resistance.
15CrMo is widely used in various fields, including oil extraction and transportation, petrochemical engineering, power equipment, aerospace, nuclear power plants, rail transit, etc. In these fields, 15CrMo is commonly used in the manufacture of high temperature and pressure vessels, boiler pipes, steam pipes, furnace components, bearings and mechanical parts. For example, in the aerospace field, 15CrMo round steel is mainly used to manufacture aircraft engine parts, rocket engine parts, etc.; In the petrochemical industry, 15CrMo round steel is used to manufacture pipelines, reactors, storage tanks in petrochemical equipment because of its good corrosion resistance and high temperature properties.
