ASTM A387 GR.5 CL.1 is an American standard vessel plate, a chrome-molybdenum alloy steel plate, mainly used for welding boilers and high temperature pressure vessels.
Characteristics of ASTM A387 GR.5 CL.1:
Corrosion resistance in medium temperature environment: In the hydrogen environment at medium temperature (350~480℃), it has the characteristics of preventing hydrogen embrittleness, hydrogen corrosion, hydrogen stripping and sulfide corrosion.
High strength and toughness: Steel plate not only has a very high strength, but also has a certain toughness, fatigue resistance, corrosion resistance, wear resistance, acid resistance, and good low tempering brittleness.
Oxidation resistance and thermal strength: It has good oxidation resistance at about 650 degrees Celsius and good thermal strength below 600 degrees Celsius.
Shock absorption and thermal conductivity: widely used in steam turbines, showing superior shock absorption and thermal conductivity.

ASTM A387 GR.5CL.1 steel sheet delivery status: normalizing + tempering, can also be specified according to technical requirements of the delivery status. It may also be delivered in annealing, normalizing and tempering conditions or, where the purchaser agrees, accelerated cooling from the austenitizing temperature by means of blast or liquid quenching followed by tempering.
