Hot dip galvanizing is a commonly used anti-corrosion process, which forms a uniform, dense and corrosion-resistant galvanizing layer by soaking steel products in molten zinc. The following is the details of the hot dip galvanizing process:

1. Surface treatment: First of all, the steel surface should be treated, including steps such as oil removal and rust removal, to ensure that the surface is clean and easy to attach the coating.

2. Dipping: The prepared steel is suspended or transferred to a dipping tank containing molten zinc, usually at a temperature of around 450°C.

3. Alloy reaction: In molten zinc, steel reacts with zinc to form an iron-zinc alloy layer, which is the key to protection.

4. Tank cooling: After the steel is removed from the molten zinc, the zinc layer will be quickly cooled and solidified due to the temperature difference, so that it is firmly combined with the steel matrix.

5. Filtration: In order to ensure the quality of liquid zinc, a filter is usually configured in the liquid zinc dip plating tank to remove impurities and oxides.

6. Finishing: check and clean the galvanized layer to ensure that its quality meets the standard requirements.

Hot dip galvanizing process can provide excellent corrosion resistance, which is often used in building structures, auto parts, pipelines, power towers and other fields to give long-term protective effect to steel.
