GB/T 5213-2001 is the national standard of the People's Republic of China, the full name of "cold rolled steel sheet and steel strip for deep drawing". The standard specifies the size, shape, weight, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking and quality certificate of cold rolled steel sheet and steel strip for deep drawing.

Chemical composition
Carbon (C) : The content varies according to the specific grade, but is generally controlled at a low level to ensure the plasticity and toughness of the material.
Silicon (Si), manganese (Mn), phosphorus (P), sulfur (S) and other elements: the content is also specified to meet the performance requirements of different grades of steel plates and steel strips. For example, a brand may specify a carbon content of 0.02% to 0.10%, a silicon content of 0.05% to 0.15%, a manganese content of 0.40% to 1.00%, a phosphorus content of no more than 0.035%, and a sulfur content of no more than 0.035%.
Steel plates and strips are usually delivered in a flat, annealed condition and are usually supplied with oil. The oil film should be removed by alkaline solution or ordinary solution. Under the usual packaging, transportation, loading and unloading and storage conditions, the supplier shall ensure that the steel plate and steel strip are not rusted within 6 months from the date of completion of manufacturing.
