JIS G 3141-2005 is a Japanese industrial standard for cold-rolled steel sheets and strips. This standard specifies the classification, code, order content, size, shape, weight and allowable deviation, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking and quality certificates of cold-rolled steel plates and steel strips (hereinafter referred to as steel plates and steel strips).
Cold rolled steel sheet and steel strip under JIS G 3141-2005 standard have the following characteristics:
High precision: the size, shape and weight of the steel plate and steel strip are strictly controlled and allowed deviations.
Good surface quality: Due to the cold rolling treatment, the surface of the steel plate and steel strip is smooth and smooth, suitable for further processing and painting.
Excellent mechanical properties: According to the standard, steel plates and steel strips need to meet certain mechanical properties requirements, such as tensile strength, yield strength, etc.
There are many different grades of cold rolled steel sheets and strips under JIS G 3141-2005, and their chemical composition will vary. Take the two common brands SPCC and SPCE for example:
SPCC: Carbon C ≤0.12, manganese Mn ≤0.50, Phosphorus P ≤0.100, sulfur S ≤0.025, aluminum Als ≥0.020.
SPCE: Carbon C ≤0.08, manganese Mn ≤0.40, Phosphorus P ≤0.025, sulfur S ≤0.020, aluminum Als ≥0.020.
The delivery status of cold rolled steel sheet and steel strip under JIS G 3141-2005 standard is delivered after cold rolled steel sheet and steel strip after annealing and flat. The specific delivery status shall be indicated in the warranty.
The mechanical properties of cold rolled steel sheets and strips under JIS G 3141-2005 will vary according to different grades. Take the two common brands SPCC and SPCE for example:
SPCC: Tensile strength Rm/MPa: 2270, yield strength RPO.2/MPa: ≤240, elongation after fracture A80mm% : ≤38.
SPCE: Tensile strength Rm/MPa: ≥270, yield strength RPO.2/MPa: s220 (note that there may be problems with the yield strength value here, usually there is a clear value range for the yield strength), elongation after fracture A80mm% : ≤42.
Cold rolled steel sheets and strips under JIS G 3141-2005 are widely used in many industries due to their excellent properties and wide range of applications, including but not limited to:
Automobile: Used to manufacture body, chassis, engine and other components, providing a strong guarantee for the lightweight, high strength and durability of the automobile.
Home appliances: used in the manufacture of refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners and other home appliances shell and structural parts, improve the stability and durability of the product.
Construction: Used to manufacture doors and Windows, partition walls, steel structures and other building components, providing a strong support for the safety and aesthetics of the building.
Machinery: It is used to manufacture various mechanical parts and components to meet the high precision and high strength requirements of mechanical equipment.
